![]() Great early game to teleport -> Vital Strike a caster. This is mandatory.ĭimensional Slide - Teleport as a move action. Take Archmage Armor and enjoy having tons of AC. Espionage Expert is also a fun one, since you get to use Cha to cast Ranger spells, but you overlap with Arue a bit.Īrmored Mask - Mage Armor AND Shield of Faith. How deep you want to go into AE is up to you. The general idea is Scaled Fist 1 + Arcane Enforcer X. MFW I just pre-loaded the full game, which uninstalls the BetaĪight so this is going off memory so you're going to have to take this with a grain of salt. Plus if you start as Lawful Neutral then you're good to go as True Neutral is an allowed alignment to start the Trickster quests. You don't QUITE make it to Chaotic by the time you choose trickster, but you're close enough that it shouldn't prove problematic. I DID experiment with starting out as Lawful, taking Monk at level 2, and then picking every Chaotic option I could in dialogue. ![]() Personally I hate the concept of alignment-restricted classes (except for Paladins/Clerics, because faith), so I just used a mod to turn off the restriction. The author actually did a write up about it here a few days ago: And if you want you can get Mobility 3 to just use Mobility to dodge attacks anyways which makes your AC much less important. If you don't want to go monk dip, you could always consider using that Freebooter build I linked instead your AC suffers, but you get to Trip as a Move Action and your Vital Strikes hit even harder. ![]() You'll lose a good 3-6 points of AC (depending on level/items), the free Crane Style feat, ability to wear monk-only items, and Flurry of Blows for early game. Makes Shatter Defenses really easy to proc, letting your whole party get a massive to-hit boost against anything not immune to Shaken. There's also the Persuasion Tricks, which let you get a free Dazzling Display when combat starts that can later lead to Paralysis or even Death. Most of the skill tricks are a massive boost to your whole party, like World 2 turning all your natural 1's into 20's, or Arcana boosting every magic item you find while Nature gives you items every time you rest. Of course you don't HAVE to be a mobility trickster, in which case pretty much anything works. This video does a good job of showcasing how insane such a build can get (though he makes different class choices): And Vital Strike (Mythic) has a lot of synergy with Power Attack and Two-Handed weapons. This makes it synergize well with the Vital Strike line of feats, as with all those move actions being dedicated to moving you don't really want to be standing still in order to full-attack things. This also means that, most rounds, your move action will be pre-occupied with, well, moving. This means that the trickster can pump mobility, take combat reflexes, and then just run through a bunch of enemies and make a bunch of attacks. Trickster has a few big things going for it, but one of the BIGGEST is the level 2 Mobility trick, which lets you make an Attack of Opportunity against any enemy whose Attack of Opportunity you avoid (and make them flat footed!). I played a Slayer (Arcane Enforcer) with 1 level of Monk (Scaled Fist) in the beta and let me tell you it SLAPS. Reddit's Rules of Order The entirety of the rules of Reddit still apply here.
